Overview
In cleanroom production, materials with low-to-zero particle generation are essential. Preferred materials are stainless steel, titanium and aluminium; black-oxide coatings are not allowed because they can shed particles. NBK cleanroom couplings and screws are ultrasonically or IPA-cleaned in a cleanroom and then packaged, so they arrive ready to install without adding contamination.
These components are ideal for semiconductor equipment, pharmaceutical machinery and medical and life-science devices, as well as food machinery. Parts are cleaned and packed in a cleanroom (wash room ISO Class 7, packing ISO Class 4) using either ultrasonic cleaning (suffix USC) or IPA cleaning (suffix IPA), followed by particle measurement. It is used for FPD, semiconductor, medical and food components.
